Original Sink Photo

When Vida was having play practice for Babes in Toyland at St. Johns. I was there helping and volunteering my time. At the time it was the weekend before Halloween and we were getting things ready for a party for the kids in another building. I saw this sink and loved the rusty textures in the sink. I snapped this shot of the sink. Photo was shot with ProCamera in low light.

Snapseed Edit

I decided I wanted to enhance the rust, so I ran the photo thru Snapseed. After I saved the photo, I started to see something else.

Alien Sky popped in my head and I played around with the app for a good hour. I wanted to make a gas filled universe, like the ones I see from NASA. This was my results from using the app.

All Photos-1335

I felt the image wasn’t finished. Painterly look pop in my head because I wanted the image to have texture popping out. The app I used for the painterly look was Glaze.

Abstract Galaxy

Last, I wanted to brighten up the image and bring out the high lights. The last app I used was Relight. I love the app to bring out details. It’s been awhile since I did any mobile editing. I’m pretty happy with the results with my image. I high lighted and linked all of the app I used in this tutorial. Everything was done with my iPhone 6 Plus. Hi there ashcroft54 (Tina).

So glad to see one of your creations – I miss them at times.

Lovely result. The colors and textures of rust are always a treat. I like the way that you have picked these aspects up and run with them, whilst maintaining the very essence of them.
