Yesterday Word Dance hit the App Store. It’s something that’s totally new and refreshing with a play on words. What the app does takes the words you type out and put them into a picture. I’ll show you how the app works. The video up above was made by Bev Humphrey.
First – tap on the + button to select your image. Second – picky your image, you can scroll up and down to find over 500 different images. Third – after your image is loaded, tap on SET TEXT button.
After you type in your text, you want to tap on the CUSTOMIZE button. You want to scroll and customize your settings before your create your word video.
If I want to change the font, I will tap on the Font and scroll through the different fonts . Then I will tap on the font I like and that will change to the different font I picked. You can do the same thing with everything else on the page list. I will warn you, if you do HIGH resolution. This will take a long time to process. High will do 1080p saves. I just did medium default resolution instead for this post. When it’s done processing you will hear a plane take off sound and the video demo will appear a few seconds after. The plane sound will let you know it’s done and saved to your camera roll.
My Darth Vader demo.
If you want to do your own photo, make sure the photo is contrasty and with no details. Because you want to make sure your video image is filled with words or it will look unrecognizable when you make a video. You can also download clip art and try those with Word Dance. You have endless possibilities.
This is my Windows demo.
– Create word cloud videos with minimal effort
– Choose from over 500 images or import your photos (high contrast closeup images work best)
– Use a title as the shape for a word cloud
– Add your own text or import a Twitter timeline
– Compatible with Fonteer (use any font you like)
Word Dance sells for $2.99 and universal to the iPad.
Requirements: Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
