Combo Apps/The Making of Candyland

Today, I’m going to show you how I put together a video with a single image, that’s the photos on top. It was a photo I took and edited with Bitpoem. I have many photos I will just do a simple edits and put them away for awhile. I pull them back out and try manipulating them with other apps. In this case I made this image into a video installation with music.

Generate M1

I’m playing around with Generate App because I wanted to make some kind of music video with this app. I took the Bitpoem images and started to mess around with the layers…

Gnerate M2

At the same time I’m listening to music and I did something on accident and messed with the slider. I saw something that was kind of interesting and decided to do some more exploring…

Generate/LumaFX M1

Then I came across a low resolution save problem. So I fixed the problem with LumaFX, by loading the video clips I made with Generate App and process/save the clips at a higher resolution. I saved them at 1080p at 50Mbps. When you do these types of saves, this will eat up your memory on your iPhone. I will have to dump all these video files to make room for new video footage.

The I put everything together with iMovie.  The track you’re hearing is called Candyland by Tobu. I was listening to this track while I was manipulation, editing and putting it all together. I can usually create something from nothing when I’m not thinking about anything. All you need is one image and find creative ways to manipulate that one image to make it move in the direction where you want it to go. I always wanted to find ways to make my still images move and create a videos with them. I just needed something to Generate my thought process…

If you have any questions about this blog post, please leave comments. Have a great day and see you soon !!!

You’re welcome, I might as well start writing out how to make videos since I’m going down that path. It’s fun !!! I enjoy making the video because it’s a real challenge for me. Now I want to get a bigger camera and start shooting movies for real.
