Combo Apps/The Trolley Adventure

The Trolley Adventure started way back in 2008 with just photos taken from DSLR and posted on Flickr. The series has changed over the years. Now video documentary has been added to the series from my iPhone 6 Plus. The video is my point of view taking the trolley through the Downtown Loop. It has still photos mixed with the passenger (me) riding the trolley. I don’t drive anymore, so I take the trolley and bus all over the place. The video is about the passenger’s experience. I am riding on the trolley, get off at some stops, take photos along the stops and get back on the trolley. I’ve been doing this for years. This is my first short movie about the experience. I plan to keep this as an on going project and make a few mobile documentary trolley series. Then I’ll submit the series to mobile film festivals and see what happens.

I used my iPhone 6 Plus with TopCamera 2 for the video, shot the stills with ProCamera with Z-Prime lenses and edited with Relight. Then I edited and put everything together with iMovie.

The apps: Top Camera 2, ProCamera, Relight and iMovie.

The mobile gear: iPhone 6 Plus and Ztylus Z-Primes.

Music is by Ketsa and the track title is Milk. You can find more of Ketsa’s music on Free Music Archive.

You are VERY, VERY GOOD at this. The shooting of stills and video, the editing, and most importantly, the creative concept. It is an amazing insight into the environment along the trolley route – the people and the built environment. Your use of filters is lovely – they just seem to fit so well together – which is a reflection of your abilities.

I will look forward to the future episodes.
