Introducing Hyperspektiv where reality becomes distorted with customized features and interactive real time filter. The video you saw was done by me in Downtown San Diego. I took this app on a hyper test drive. I really played with this app in downtown. There were people looking at me and wondering what I was doing but I tuned them out with music. The music that’s on the video is by PHATTE HARRY. I was listening to that track “85’s” over and over, while I was shooting the footage. I put all of the footage together with iMovie. Other gear I used was a Bitplay Ultra Wide-Angle Lens and Shoulderpod S1.
These are the basic tutorial on how to operate the app.
You have many live filter to choose from with this app and also adjustment effect and tools. The possibilities are endless with this app.
However there are a few drawbacks with HYPERSPEKTIV.
One is when you go to landscape mode and you’re stuck with what you picked in square mode. You get full screen view but I would like to have the tool bar below to change my live filter while filming. I have to shot flip my iPhone and pick another live filter. If you have a tripod set up this can be a pain to constantly take off and put back on the tripod. I like the fact you can move your finger around the screen to change/scramble the video.
Two there’s no image stabilizer, so you video will be on the shaky side.
Three it’s only 720p video resolution.
Now these drawbacks aren’t deal breaker for me because I know the developer will work on these issues in future updates. I did bring these issues up with the developer. Regardless of the issues this app is pretty stable. The app crashed on me twice but I had other app on in the background and was constantly using it. It wasn’t a big deal because it was footage I didn’t care about that I lost.
The stills don’t save at very high resolution 1280 x 720 and 720 x 720. Like I said it’s a stable app and I get that this is a very powerful rendering app. Overall I will use this app for video making. I like the ability to distort reality with total control on my end. I do plan to make more short movies with this app. HYPERSPEKTIV sells for $1.99 in the App Store and iOS only. You can use this app on your iPod Touch 6 and iPad. I did test this app on my iPod Touch and it was really stable.
I made a second short movie with HYPERSPEKTIV with the same composer from PHATTE HARRY. If you have any questions about this blog post please leave questions. You can follow HYPERSPEKTIV on social media below. Have a great day and see you soon !!!
