Combo Apps/Isabella Matthews and Her Lens Kit System

A couple of months ago Isabella Matthews posted some photos in the Mobile Macro Photography Group on Facebook and I really loved how her photos came out. I asked her what lens she used and other details. Well it turns out she bought a smartphone mobile lens kit on eBay Australia. Yes, Isabella lives in The Land Down Under and it’s exciting with get someone who lives there for an interview/product review. She gave me all her information and a bio about herself. All of the photos shot by Isabella Matthews, using the mobile lenses she bought on eBay. I told her I would post her review and experiences with her mobile lens kit. Sit back and read all about it !!!

Isabella Matthews Bio:

My son gave me my first iPhone 4 in 2010 and from then I’ve been hooked on iPhone Photography joining mobile photo groups on Facebook. I’ve found the most amazing apps offered all over, started experimenting, finding the ones that best made my pics pop and give that “WOW” factor. I have learnt so much from other iPhoneographers. There are so many talented artists in the mobile community. That they’re willing to answer a lot of my questions. The Facebook mobile photo groups were loaded with tutorials that are fabulous. My iPhone 4 got upgraded to an iPhone 5s then to the iPhone 6. Then I had the urge to get an iPhone 6 Plus, so safe to say if there is a new iPhone I will be there to check them out. I’m on Facebook, Instagram @izzymatthews2013, Flickr and EYEEM.

All in 1 SmartPhone Lens Kit

Finished morning shift one morning decided I needed new mobile lenses for my iPhone 6+. Though I’d try the lens kit I got on Ebay. The kit had all I need and yes I’m very happy with it.

I was using the Fisheye in my Abandoned building pics as it gives the pic a different look. So that lens is my favorite I’m very happy with the kit and would recommend it.

The wide-angle is awesome for panorama shots.

Telephoto is fab as is the macro I was impressed with that as I was chasing Bees around a tree. I definitely recommend mobile gear to anyone if you drive a lot. Just pop it in your car, that’s were mine stays so its never left at home and always with me on every adventure.

All in 1 Smartphone Lens Kit US – $20.99

    Hello Ashcroft54 (Tina) & Isabella.

Tina – Thanks for providing the forum for showcasing some of the work of a fellow Australian iPhoneographer.

Isabella – I was wondering how the lenses are attached to your iPhone 6 Plus? The links don’t provide this information.

Many thanks for any information that either of you could provide.

    Hello Isabella.

Thanks for that additional information. Does that also apply to the long telephoto (??) lens? That would be very unwieldy with just a clothes-peg style clip to hold it up to the backside camera? Not to mention that with such a narrow tube, there must be significant vignetting with it ?? I noticed that it wasn’t there in your favorites, and I couldn’t see any examples.

Have a great day 🙂 … MomentsForZen (Richard)

I know from using those long Telephoto lenses. You will get vignetting and chromatic aberrations. But I figured if they made a wider barrel on those lenses, you would need a tripod and couldn’t hand hold your smartphone to take photos. The narrow barrel gives you the ability to do hand held shots. In my opinion, if you’re looking for quality telephoto photos. Then get a DoF adapter and use DSLR telephoto lens instead.

        Hello Ashcroft54 (Tina).

I thoroughly agree. I note that Ztylus are coming out with a 2X telephoto, I think. I shall be interested to see shots with this lens. It would be something that I’ld like to use when you just can’t get close enough to the subject. And it should be possible to make a reasonable 2X telephoto – 5X is tricky, and best done as you suggested – using a DoF adapter and a big, wide lens.

I’ll be getting the Ztylus PRIME lenses soon. I can’t eat wait to try the telephoto lenses. They also have a trade in program for off brand lenses. These guys are on top of what’s going on and I’m lucky that I’ve built a good relationship with them. I’m hoping their 2x Tele will be sharp and chromatic aberration free. I know 3x is possible too but it seems no luck in finding a good 3x tele. I was hoping to get one from EXO lenses.

        Hey Ashcroft54 (Tina).

I can totally understand that you can’t wait for it. And that means that I can’t wait to see your test shots and you review comments.
