I’ve been asked to look into Quad Lock products. I’ve manage to get my hands on a case and tripod adapter. The case is very well made and the tripod adapter is solid too. There are pros and cons to both products, like everything else that’s on the market. There will be a list of all of those at the end of the blog post.
This is my Quad Lock Case and Tripod Adapter, both are solid and well made products.
The inside of the case has a microfiber lining, so it has better protection for your iPhone from dirty and other things that can get in the back of the case. All you have to do is slip the case over your iPhone. The case does add a little weight to your iPhone but not enough where it weighs down in your pocket. The case doesn’t make your iPhone bulky looking, it’s a very well designed case.
Here’s how the tripod adapter looks when you have it horizontal and vertical.
The vertical photo was a little off and took another photo in a different angle. If you plan to do vertical photos with your iPhone 6 plus with the tripod adapter, it might work with some tripod mounts. Especially when some people like to do Vertical panoramas with their iPhones. Now for the smaller iPhones, this tripod adapter won’t have this problem. I read review on Quad Lock that this was an issue for larger smartphones. I really like the tripod mount because it’s a solid product.
But not worry because they make a universal Quad Lock for other smartphones. It has a very strong adhesive stick mount.
This way if you want to use a different case or don’t have an iPhone. You have this other option. They do make Quad Lock cases for Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5. You can check out the website for more details on other products.
– durable case
– not heavy or bulky
– fits very well in my pockets
– shock resistant
– made for an active life style
– reasonably priced
– you can have any type of screen protectors with this case
– limited to mobile photographers, mobile lenses and other mobile photo gear
– hard to take the case off
– hard to press the volume and power button through the case
My overall opinions are the case is very well designed and made. It was really designed for all around purpose with an active life style. I like using the case if I’m not going to take regular photos without mobile lenses. Also if you plan to take time-lapse photography or shoot videos without a mobile lens, then this is the case for you. The case feels good in my hands and slide down in my pockets pretty easily. I like having a protective case without all the bulk. The case has taken the place of my OtterBox Symmetry Case. We all know OtterBox makes a serious case, so that should tell you something. I know there are more people who have active lifestyles who read this blog, so go out and get this case. I highly recommend this case for the all around user and cyclists.
