Combo Apps/ARTiGEN

ARTiGEN - 3

Tonight I was informed about a new art generated app called ARTiGEN. It’s an iPad only app. What the app does is generate shapes, forms and designs on top of each other with layers. You get colourful abstract art all generated randomly. The top image was made with ARTiGEN.

When you load up ARTiGEN, you’ll get this settings screen. I switch on both buttons, Hold between layers and Accumulative. For the best results, I’ll tap on “GO COMPLEX !!!”

When you Go Complex, you’ll get these types of results. Very colourful and very abstract with piles of layers. Vida got excited each time the layers would pop on and tell me to save. You have to take screen shots when saving the art by hitting the Home and Power button at the same time. The resolution save is 2048 x 1536.

Overall I really like this app and great fir creative abstract backgrounds. What’s nice about this art generative app is all abstractions are never the same because or randomness. Think of them as snow flakes, no two are ever alike or the same. The price of the app can be beat because it’s FREE !!! This is iPad only app and works with iOS 8. Below will be a link to ARTiGEN and other apps that were developed by Elena Kolchina.

App List:

ARTiGEN – FREE iPad only.
Brushes XP – $1.99 universal
Magic Fractals – $.99 universal
smart BASIC – $2.99 universal

Thank you for the review on ARTiGEN. You demonstrated and explained all it can do so perfectly and clearly. Seems like a great app to get lost in for a while. I’ll be sure to download this one. I like the abstract images you created with it, especially the first one. You really have such an awesome, interesting, and fun to read blog! I truly appreciate all of the work you put into it. Thanks, Tina!
