Tonight a reader gave some info on an app to check out called Atypic by Megametrope. It’s a really great art design app to apply graphics, text, effects, filters, gradients and tints on your photos. It’s a very simple and easy app to use.
I’ll give you a quick overview of how the app operates. You load your photo and pick your crop size. Then you go to the next screen and at the bottom row are your editing tools.
You have lots to choose from with your filter effects. I’m only showing you half of the filter effects. Once you pick the filter effect you like, you apply it in top of your photo. Then you save your creation. You have 3 different output sizes. Now if you do your edits this way, you’ll get the 3000 x 3000 saves.
This is my finished edit done with Atypic.
But when you use the brush mask tools, you get a very lower output save at 1774 x 1774. I’m not very happy about and hope for a future update to upped the resolution saves. This is a very big disappointment.
Here’s my finished brush mask edit, done with Atypic. Overall the app is awesome, I like the filters and hot the app operates. They don’t have cheesy graphics and great masking blending tools. I’m hope the developers will work on an update for 3000 x 3000 resolution saves all across the board. Now for a limited time Atypix Premium version is FREE for a limited time with NO in-app purchases and normally $1.99. There is a FREE version of the app with in-app purchases if you want try and test the app out yourselves. Android version is coming soon…
