Befunky had a huge update recently, the app had a total overhaul from the ground up. The design and UI has been redesign to fit with the iOS 7 theme along with added tools and features. There’s even a social network within the app to share your creations. But Befunky didn’t stop there, they even have editing section to make colleges with your photos, along with added goodies and the ability to share your college on their social network.

We start off with three ways to start the app you can take a photo, load your photo from your library or make a college. But first I want to tap on the gear button the top left hand corner.
This is really important before starting to use any app is to check your settings. Make sure you have the correct settings and set your resolution to the highest settings. Now I was told by the developers that for the iPhone 5/5S/5C the resolution settings would be set higher. I have an iPhone 4S so the resolution is lower to iPhone 4 resolution. If you use this app on the iPad, befunky iPhone version will not be recognised in the resolution department and will remain low. Don’t ask me why, it’s what I was told by the developers.
We load up our photo and you will notice that there are some very powerful editing tools. You have lots of tool to manipulate your photo in a lot of different ways.
You also have a lot of different frames to choose from and able to adjust the width of the frames. If you want to add text, you can and adding text is really easy with befunky. Now the saving part is tricky if you have the befunky social sharing network on, you have to title you photo and add in a hash tag.
This is me edited photo done with befunky. I like to edit my macro photos with this app. Even at 1920 x 1920 still isn’t bad for resolution, you can add more pixels with BigPhoto if you plan to print out your photos from befunky.
You can join in the social photo sharing on befunky and make an account. I made an account for blogging purposes to show you what it looks like. You can follow me if you want but I will rarely use this part of the app.
Now let’s talk about collage area of the app, as you can see you have many choices on how many photos you want in your collage to different template styles.
Other things you can add are Goodies which are stickers and text to your colleges. There are different border designs and you can make your border transparent too.
This is my college from Befunky with some stickers and a patterned border design. The collages save at 1536×1536, again this is on my iPhone 4S. You will have to check on your iPhone 5/5S/5C to check the actual resolution saves with your colleges.
Overall Befunky did a great job with the update of the app. The app runs very smooth with no crashing issues and my only complaint is the resolution but that can’t be helped with an iPhone 4S. I really like how my photos look editing with Befunky. I highly recommend this app and add it to your collection. You can also pick up the FREE version of Befunky with in app purchases. There’s an iPad version of BeFunky also. If you have Android devices you can pick up Befunky for smartphones and tablets.
