Today I’m going to talk about an important tool in mobile gear, it’s the Bluetooth Shutter Remote Control Camera Shutter by DCkina. What nice about the remote is it’s Android and iOS, so it works on both operating systems on your mobile devices. There are people who mix devices and this remote comes in handy. I like how small the remote is and can fit in your pocket easily.
What you get in the box is a 2032 lithium coin battery and instructions. All you have to do is turn on the remote and a blue light turns on. Go to your setting on your mobile device and fine the Bluetooth connection. Just tap on the button on white device you’re using to make the connection, iOS or Android. After you’re connected you’re ready to go shooting.
Heres a demo photo I shot of a bowl of green tomatoes, not bad and love using this remote. It’s small, easy to use and at a great price of $15.60.
Next is the Wired Remote Shutter Release Cord for iOS devices, it’s smattering than most wired shutter cable remotes and fits great in your pocket. I did use the remote a lot for hard to shoot photos with my iPhone.
I used the Wired Remote Shutter Release Cord for shooting up at trees. It was really useful and made it easy for me to upwards at the tree, shown open the photo above. The remote is at a deal at $5.90 and you might want to get two of them at that price. Make sure when you order one, that you buy the right remote. A friend of mine ordered an Android remote by mistake and it didn’t work on her iPhone. So please check your shopping cart before you put in the final order !!!
Today I’ll be showing you a new Bluetooth Shutter Remote sold on DCkina. What’s nice about this Shutter Remote is it’s made for iOS and Android devices. I used this remote quite a few times and really love it. I love it so much that I have made this my main shutter remote and put my Muku Shuttr aside.
This is what you get from the box, a shutter remote and micro USB cable to charge your remote. So when you take you remote out of the box make sure you charge it first before you start using it. When you plug in your remote, a light will turn on. You will know when the remote is fully charged after the light has been turned off.
Connecting your emote is really easy, all you have to do is go into your settings on your iDevice and tap on the Bluetooth. When you first get the remote you might get “keyboard” showing up on the light of item you’ve connected on your Bluetooth. Just tap on the “keyboard” and you will PG-9019 after you’ve successfully connect your Bluetooth with the remote and iDevice.
Now with Android devices I don’t have full details on how to connect with your devices because most devices have a different way of taking screen shots depending on what OS you have and device. I know with the newer Samsung devices they have the wave your hand to make a screen shot. I know your Bluetooth connections are going to be through your settings.

Here is my demo sample shot using the Bluetooth Shutter Remote, yes I know it’s boring. This remote works with volume trigger camera apps.
The Shutter Remote some in 4 colors Black, White, Blue and Pink. It sells for $24.95 which is a steal at that price. I love the fact it has a recharge battery, so I don’t have to replace a battery after leaving it one on accident. The charge lasts a long time before you have to recharge your remote. So if you plan to go on a long weekend photo taking trip, you remote will last you through the weekend and go beyond the heavy photo taking trip.
I got one of these Wired Shutter Remote Control Cable from DCkina. What I like about this was the price ($7.85), how the it felt in my hand and large enough so you don’t loose it. The cable is nylon and not rubberized plastic or plastic, so it makes the cable a lot more flexible and easy to wrap up and put away. The control button reminds me of a Wii Nunchuck attached to the Wii Remote. You can attached the Wired remote to your iPhone earphone jack and click on the button to take photos with it. So far the wired remote only works with the iPhone Camera app only and camera apps that have a volume trigger remote. I hardly use the iPhone Camera app to shoot photos. I’ll only use the app for shooting quick videos and that’s about it.
Camera Apps List:
These are just a few of the camera apps I’ve tested to far that works with Bluetooth Shutter Remote and Earphone Jack Shutter Remote. I know there are more camera apps that will work but these are the popular well known apps. Most camera apps that have a volume trigger will work with third party shutter remotes
