Hey everyone and welcome to another addition of cables and adapters from Logiix. They’ve added new products on their website and I got to try them out. We will start off with something totally new that has been added, it’s a Piston Power 3000 mAh Battery. Every mobile photographer should have one of these on hand at all times. Wheather you shoot with an Apple, Android and/or Windows device. What’s nice about this external battery is it’s 3000 mAh, so most smart phones on the market can get a full charge with a little extra for later.
When you get the external batter you will get the battery and a very short doubled ended USB cord (shown in the second photo). You don’t really need a long cord if you’re charging your smartphone. The battery doe some in 3 colors, Turquoise, Black and Pink.
Now before I used the battery, I always give it a full charge before using it. Here are some simple tips you should follow for making sure your back up battery lasts you for awhile. Tehse batteries have a cycle charge just like the batter in your device.
-First make sure the battery works properly before using it to charge your devices.
-Second always use the external batteries for charging your devices and not as a back up battery.
-Third make sure you use up the battery completely before you charge it back up.
Now if you look at the first photo you will see, it has a button and a battery indicator and a USB port to charge you device or the battery. The second photo is just a plain bottom with no flash light like other lipstick batteries. I kind of like it without the flashlight. Third photo shown is my iPhone being charged by the external battery. It takes a little over an hour to fully charge your iPhone as long as you’re not using it and you let it charge. The Piston Power 3000 mAh Battery sells for $34.95 and well worth the pick up for add insurance on your battery life with your mobile devices. This battery is idea for most smartphones. It does come in handy when you need a quick emergency for your tablets but you will not get a full charge.
Next is the Sync and Charge Multi 1M Cable this is a mutli-purpose cables for charging your Apple and 3rd party devices that take a micro USB. What I like about this is mutli-purpose function because I have a Mophie battery case that takes a micro USB. Most Power Banks and battery packs use a micro USB, so this cable comes in handy. There is a lanyard keeps both connectors from getting lost. The Sync and Charge Multi 1M Cable only comes in Black and sells for $24.95.
You can also get the Sync and Charge Jolt Multi 1.5M Cable for newer Apple Products that use the Lightning Cable. It’s works the same way as the Sync and Charge Multi 1M Cable. Its has a lanyard keeps both connectors from getting lost and only comes in Black. I’ve tried using this with my iPad 4 and it works really well. What I like about this cable is that it’s made like the Apple cables but it’s thicker and stronger. So this cable is made to last longer than the regular Lightning Cable and this cable will replace my old Lightning Cable I’m using now. The Sync and Charge Jolt Multi 1.5M Cable sells for $29.95 and only comes in Black.
Now here’s a cool nifty little adapter for going from Micro USB to Lightning. The Micro USB Jolt Adapter is tiny and really cute. It’s a handy little adapter, that fits in your pocket or anywhere else on the go.
As you can see that the adapter is tiny and would easily get lost, so what I would so is stick on a Micro USB cable so it doesn’t get lost. Shown in the last photo it fits really well and has a snug fit so it won’t fall off. The Micro USB Jolt Adapter sells for $19.95 and only comes in white. It’s worth a pick if you happened to have a Micro USB cable handy and forgot your lightning cable.
I also like to find other alternatives cables that are made with different materials. The Micro USB Pro 1.5M Braided Cable is that cable and made of polyester braided type of material around the cable, so it’s tangle-free with a strong aluminum housing on the USB. It’s a really nice cable and really impressed with it. I like the look, feel and design of this Micro USB Cable. What else is nice it’s a little extra longer at 1.5 meters. I prefer a longer cable than the 1 meter standard length. This is one well made cables for anyone who has and Android devices or any third party devices for Apple Products. What else is nice is the price at $19.95 and well worth the pick up.
If you’re looking for an Aux Pro 1.5M Braided Cable to go with your Micro USB Pro 1.5M Braided Cable. Then you can pick one up at the price of $19.95. Its has the tangle-free braided cable with aluminum housing that allows you to connect your device to speakers, car stereos and other audio devices effortlessly.
There is also the Logiix Auxiliary Pro Cable (not shown) allows you to connect your iPod or iPhone to speakers, car stereos and other audio devices effortlessly. This one meter braided cable shields against noise and interference in order to enhance sound quality. That sells for $14.95.
If you prefer the regular AUX jack, then you can pick up the Flat Flex Aux 3.5mm Cable (not shown). This is an extremely flexible and compactly designed 1.5 meter flat cable. The benefits of this flat cable include: greater current carrying capacity and high-density interconnections, all providing you with a greater connection. It comes in 4 colors, Black, Orange, Red and Purple and sells for $14.95.
The A to Micro B USB Retractable Cable connects a USB A port (standard Mac/PC USB port) to a Micro USB B port (often found on digital cameras, smartphones, MP3 players). The retractable cable allows for simple and convenient storage. What I was surprised with is the quality of the cable. It was thicker than I expected and retracts really well. This is great for people who like to wrap up their cords and not get them tangled up in their backpacks, purses or pockets. It’s nifty and great for on the go to take with you anywhere. The price on A to Micro B USB Retractable Cable is also great too at $12.95. I like to be organized and neat so I can find my things, so the Micro USB Retractable cable comes in handy.
This is the last of the cables but if yo have a Gaxalay Note 3 and looking to get an extra cable. Other smartphones are sure to follow, what I noticed is the cable it’s thicker than the normal USB 2.0 cable. My sister has a Galaxy Note 3 and said the cable works perfectly. She’s a happy camper and said she would buy another cable to put into her purse. Since she plays a lot of games on her Note 3 and the larger screen, her battery life on the Note 3 goes down super quick. Regardless of what I read about how ugly and nasty the cable is, it does it job and does it well. You can’t fault something that works and does a great job. I wish the Apple cables were as thick and not fray at the ends over time.
Next up are some Soundshare EarPhone Split with volume control T-splitter allows you to connect two mini-stereo headphones or speakers to the same jack on your iPod, portable cassette, CD or MP3 player. This comes in handy when you have two kids and they are watching a movie on a tablet or any mobile device. All you have to do is plug it in your headphone jack and then you have two earphone jacks. Simple solution but it also comes in handy when you want share music with another person too. The sound from the split is pretty good and has a simple volume control on each jack. The Soundshare EarPhone Split sells for $24.95, easy to story and comes in really handy for those tight situations with the kids when watching a movie on your mobile device.
Last item I wanted to share is Direct Cassette Adapter with Mic. Drive safe and enjoy your music and hands free with the Logiix Cassette Adapter. Simply plug the auxiliary/microphone cable into your device’s headphone jack and right away you can listen to your music on your device through your car’s speakers. Need to make a call? No problem, the built-in microphone will allow you to make and receive calls hands free !!! Now you’re wonder can you find a cassette player these days, yes you can in old and some classic cars. This is one handy gadget to have when need to plug in your smartphone to play some music. It’s one reliable source compared to FM tuner. If you’re used to clear digital sound, you might not like to the static and other sounds that come out from a cassette player. As for me, I don’t mind the extra sounds coming out of my music. I like to hear those imperfections coming out of analog device. I grew up in the analog ago from listening to cassettes, records and 8 tracks.
