Hey everyone, I’m back with more goodies from Logiix, this time it’s all about transferring photo files, storing your files on the go, creative solutions of connecting and charging multi-devices platforms. What I have up above is a USB Hub with 7 ports, now why would you need one. Well most laptops and ultrabooks will have 2 to 3 USB ports on them, some times you need extra ports to plug in more devices. For example your, portable DVD drive, external portable hard drives, iPhone/smartphone and/or iPad/tablet. There will be times when you’re travelling and you don’t have enough plugs to cover or charge all your small electronics, small appliances and your devices. That when a USB Hub will comes in handy in those tight situations.
This is what comes in the package of the Data Port VII Slim 7 port Powered Hub, the 7 port hub, power cord and a mini USB cable. The power cord is needed when you’re plugging in devices that need more power/amperage to run though the hub or if you just want to plug in the all to charge your devices. The mini USB cable is for plugging the hub into your Desktop, laptop, ultrabook or netbook (if they still make them). If you’re wanting to charge a tablet or iPad, make sure you plug in the hub for more power. They run at a higher amperage and need the extra boost to help it along.
Here is the actual hub, as you can see the hub fits in the my hot little hand. It’s easy to pack away and take with your on the go with your laptop or ultrabook. Data Port VII Slim 7 port Powered Hub sells for $34.95 and not bad for the price. I will be using this hub port to charge a lot of devices, since I live in an household full of devices.
Data Port VII Slim 7 Port USB Hub Features:
-USB 2.0/1.1 Compliant
-Supports transfer rates of 1.5/12/480 Mbps

Next is the USB 3.9 Multi-Card Reader is “SOLD OUT” at the moment, I don’t have a price for it at the moment. USB 3.0 is the second major revision of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard for computer connectivity. It’s really important that you start looking for card readers that are USB 3.0 ready. Since my old Scandisk Compact Flash Card reader is starting to take a dump because it’s old. This new card reader will come in handy.
This is what’s in the package, the card reader and USB 3.0 data cable. It’s the same cable used for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, dual connections for USB 3.0 and 2.0. USB 2.0 ports generally provide up to 500mA current, while USB 3.0 is 80 percent faster at 900mA, making plugging your card reader into your laptop more akin to connecting it to a wall charger. So this is a backwards compatible card reader and worth picking up but again the card reader is sold out for the moment.

Next is USB 3.0 Slim SD Reader Transfer files to your computer quickly, easily and safely with the Logiix Slim USB 3.0 SD/SDHC Card Reader. It automatically recognizes Secure Digital and MultiMedia memory cards and is compatible with both Macs & PCs.
Here are two view of the USB 3.0 Slim SD Reader, I find this to be handy when you to transfers files onto another memory card or use at a picture kiosk. Experience working at a photo lab, I’ve seen all sorts of ways people will bring in photo files to be printed. This comes in handy when the SD/MMC slots will be out and not working because a kid thought it was really cool to shove gum, candy or anything they can get their hands on in the memory card slots. It’s also great for on the go if you need to transfer your files off your SD cards to your laptop at a coffee shop. Small and easy to pack away in your backpack or laptop bag. The USB 3.0 Slim SD Reader sells for $24.95 and worth picking up to have ready for your USB 3.0 conversion. Logiix also offers a SD/SDHC Single Card Reader for $14.95 and a CF Single Card Reader for $14.95. They also offer a Dual SD Card Reader for $22.95, if you’re looking to plug in more than one SD card or one Micro SD and regular SD. It automatically recognizes Secure Digital (SDHC & SDXC) memory cards and is compatible with both Macs & PCs. This high performance accessory features the ability to read/write onto 2 SD cards simultaneously.
Last is store and protect data with myKey, a USB 2.0 16GB flash drive. This slim, key-shaped design is functional and fashionable. Available in two colors Blue and Pink.
I’ve had lots of different USB/Jump drives but this one takes the cake for me. The reason is this drive is the actual size of a key. It’s also aluminum so it’s water and scratch resistant and fits on a standard key ring. Transfer rates of 30MB/s read mode and up to 10MB/s write mode. It’s only USB 2.0, so it’s fast enough for now. Since it’s aluminum, the heat will dissipate and not burnout as fast. It’s just cool looking and fits perfectly on your key ring and you can put myKey in your pocket !!!
