Today is my last product review for 2013 and I wanted to introduce to you the Trygger Camera Clip for the iPhone 5/5S. What this is a build-in polarized lens clip. Now you’re all wondering what is the purpose for the polarized filter ? Why do I need one ? Will it help my photos ? Is it worth buying one of these filters ?
The main purpose for a polarized filter is to cut out glare from the sun so your highlight details aren’t blown out. Sometimes you get those annoying flares, sun spots and unwanted reflections in your photos. That’s when a Polarized Filter comes in handy. It also helps with making the blue sky in rich deep blues and will help bring out colors in your photos. What this lens is great for is landscapes, architecture and big sky photos. Up above is a good example of using a polarized filter, so I can get get that really nice color of the sky when the sun goes down and is dusk. I shot this a long time ago with my Canon 40D DSLR, Nifty Fifty Lens and polarized filter.
Now let’s talk about this nifty little clip in more details, these photos came from a blog post from The Phoblographer and not mine. You can read his review and look at his results with Trygger Camera Clip. The filter has an adjustable so you can change the level of light that comes through. You’ll have more control over the look of your photos, as you shoot them.
Here are the height, width and dimensions of the Camera Clip polarized filter.
This will give you an idea of how the color will change with the Camera Clip polarized filter. So you can understand how the filter cuts down in light, reflections and flares.
Before The Camera Clip with blown out details and sun blaring photo.
After The Camera Clip is on my iPhone, now you can see a huge difference between the two lens. This clip will come in handy when the sun is super bright and you need to cut glare down drastically. The clip is a solid little build and small enough to stick in your pocket. It’s a handy little device. The Trygger Camera Clip sell for $39.99 and come in Black or White.
