Today I wanted to start with the scribbling I did with the new and improved Adonit Jot Flip V2 stylus. What’s new is they added a new dampening tip for more natural control when using it on your iPad or Tablet. Now before I start going into detail with the blog post. If you follow me on Instagram (@combo_apps), you will noticed I have a Silver Jot Flip posted and you will see a Black Jot Flip on the blog post. What happened was they sent me the old version of the Jot Flip by accident. I emailed them and told me they sent me the wrong one, so they I told them if you send me a another one could you send me Black so I don’t get them mixed up. Two days ago I got a package from Adonit (Miles and Jon), a Black Jot Flip V2 came in the mail to me. Yes I have two Flips now, an old and new version. Which was great because I could really compared the two and see if the new design was better than the old design. Toward the end of the blog post I will give you price, product and shipping list and they will all be linked up so all you have to do is click to go to the site directly.
Brand new and still in the package, Adonit Jot Flip V2.
I took apart the stylus to show you what the Jot Flip looks like in pieces. It’s really easy to put back together again. This way you have an idea of how to take it apart to replaces the pieces.
Jot Flip in my hot little hand, as you see this is with the pen retracted out and all you have to do is twist out and twist it back in. The pen writes really fine and so smooth. The Flip is heavier than the Jot Pro so it feels like you have one of those expensive pens in your hand.
Another photo with the pen retracted back in and cap is screwed on and over the plastic disc. The Jot Flip V2 sells for $34.99 and worth the price. They come in 2 colors, Silver and Black. It’s a 2 in 1 stylus with a solid design and how it feels in your hand.
Line test using Tayasui Sketches app. The Flip does a nice job with the dampening tip.
I should practice writing on my iPad more since all I do is type and not write anymore. My mom would be disappointed with these scribbles I’ve posted up for you all to see. But you get the gist of how well this responds with the new dampening tip design. Don’t forget to keep your screen clean, that is a must and always helps make better contact and response on the screen.
Now I decided to try out some thing new and use ArtRage for iPad for blending color paints. ArtRage works really well with the Jot Flip V2 and I got some really great results. This was also really relaxing to do with my iPad.
This is a tree I painted, blended and layered with ArtRage for iPad using the Jot Flip. What I like about ArtRage for iPad are the realistic art tools that you can use with this app. I had lots of fun using ArtRage with the Jot Flip, again it was really relaxing to be able to paint away on my iPad.

Overall the Jot Flip is worth ever penny and really impressed with their new design. The new design is a huge improvement over the old design.
