Combo Apps/The Yogurt Mill Challenge (ashcroft54_pimp4)

The Yogurt Mill Pimp Photo

The Yogurt Mill Pimp Challenge was my fourth pimp challenge on Instagram. Why am I blogging about this challenge ? Well the answer is simple this challenge took off for me in so many directions and opportunities with other followers and new friendships. I can’t explain why this challenge took off or became popular, but I’m going to guess everyone liked the structure of The Yogurt Mill Silo. I saw this building a long time ago. I used to go to Blue Meanie Records which used to be across the street before it moved. The building always remind me of The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, because the building leans a little.

How a Pimp Challenge works is a person will post a photo on their feed. The you take a screen shot by hitting the “home” and “power” button at the same time with your iPhone. The person or grroup that posts the pimp challenges will have the following details, themes, rules and a set of @tags and #hash tags that you need to post with your pimp entry. Sometimes you have to list the apps you use and directions on editing. The whole point in having these challenge is to explore and push your editing skills in way you never imagined. It’s about being as creative as possible, showing off your style and using a combination of different photo apps.

I’ve been introduce to a new cast of characters on Instagram and hopefully will make lasting friendships. Most of the challenges on Instagram are a great way to meet new people, learn more about photo apps and pushing your editing skills to the next level. I’m glad a lot of people did that challenge. It made up for a lot things. I guess I felt a little under appreciated for a little while. This is a lot of work and I’m not even sure if I’m doing anything right or wrong. It’s all a learning experience for me.
