I’m going to be talking about a new app, really popular and easy to use. The app I’ll be talking about is called “Magic Hour.” The photo up on display was shot with Leme Cam and edited with Magic Hour. All the photos I shot this time was with Leme Cam tonight. I wanted to try and use shoot with something different, instead of Hipstamatic.
Magic Hour means…the first and last hour of sunlight during the day, when a specific photographic effect is achieved due to the quality of the light. It’s stated on the info about the app. You can buy the app for $1.99 at the App Store. For now the app doesn’t do high resolution, but it’s one of the updates that will be done first. Someone on Instagram recommended that I buy this app. I’m glad I did, because it’s a very easy and fun app to use. It’s one of the innovated photo apps, because of the FREE Filter Market it has to offer. Basically you can create your own filter, save the presets and put it in the Filter Market. It’s pretty cool, because sometimes when your always on the go you cap tap on the free downloaded filter. Then save, upload and your done.
After the app is loaded, it shows you all your options to get you started. It’s a pretty self-explanatory app in how you work it.
These are your options at the “FREE Filter Market go.” You have three folder to choose from, Featured, Popular and New. What I like about this is you really can’t cheat on being popular, some of the filters in the FREE Market can be a bit repetitive, you really have the syphon your way through the market area. You don’t always have to use the FREE Market for filters either. I’ve gotten some I really like and downloaded them.
I loaded a photo I shot with Leme Cam. You can also shoot your photo with camera in Magic Hour. One great thing I love about this app is it’s square format, so it makes it great to load up on Instagram.
After you load your photo, you have the original filters loaded on the app. You have two way of how you want to view loaded pre-edited photo. I just keep it as the default because I’m going to edit the photo and use something else instead.
This is how you edit your photo and make your own kind of filter. You can see five different buttons to tap on, Curves, Adjust, Vignette, Textures and Frames. All the things you need to do your editing, it;s nothing fancy but this is the basic start you need to know about editing photographs. They are all easy to use, I’m not going to go into detail on how to use them. the reason is everyone has thier own style when it comes to editing.
After I finished with my edits i tap on “done.” You can also tap on original to see what your original photo looked like before your edits.
You can also save your edits and post them in the market if you like. You can read the disclaimer and everything else on the screen shot.
This is what it looks like when you save your filter and post it in the market.
You still have to save your photo after your done editing. I’ve done the air thing and forget to save my photos sometimes.
My finished photo is up and ready to be loaded onto Flickr.
