Mark Ferrer (@markgoblue) is the WINNER of The Combo Apps A1 Challegnge. I wanted to talk about him a little bit and his style of editing. He is a man with a style for Symmetry, a quiet man with a FEED that SPEAKS for itself. Mark will also share how he does his style of editing Instagram with step by step posts. I was looking for someone with a style of editing that fits them as a person. Everyone that read this blog, please stop by and check out his feed. We been following each other for awhile, very nice guy. I’m a huge fan of his style of work. When I look at his feed it reminds me of how represents how magical the ocean, clouds and birds become one with the image. If you would look up the word Cerulean, Marks images would be the visual definition in the dictionary. One thing I wanted to add about Mark is he’s the most humble guy on Instagram.
Mark style of editing is making four of the same image and flip them fit like a puzzle. It’s easy but hard at the same time because you have to see how the pieces fit together. Then you have to line them up so they fit properly. When I took photos classes back in the day, it was hard to them in the darkroom. Because if you didn’t print them the same exact way, the will not fit when dry mount them on a matte board. Digital has made a lot of the things we used to do in the darkroom a little easier and less of a headache, but I miss working in a darkroom sometimes.
Before & After for @unitedbyedit #ube_thu #unitedbyedit – Started with shot of birds at beach taken with #iPhone4 camera and added Sophia filter in #pixlromatic app. Cropped and mirrored with #diptic. Other shot is a cloud shot also a straight iPhone 4 camera shot (not shown) enhanced with #snapseed and quad mirrored with #diptic. The two pics were then blended together using #pictools using a custom overlay.
Since Mark is the winner, his images will be the ICONS for the Combo Apps: iPhoneography Extreme Editing Flickr Group, Facebook and Google+ Pages for a year. He also got a promo code for the Super Retro App. I’m hoping he will use the app for his future edits. I want to thanks Stefan Sicher and Marc Ammann for giving me the promo code.
